Sean Cudahy covers the airline industry for TPG.
A veteran journalist with more than a decade of reporting experience, his work focuses on the policies, planes and loyalty programs central to passengers’ experience every time they go to the airport.
Sean came to TPG after an eight-year run as a local news reporter. He previously served as lead evening reporter and investigative unit contributor at WHIO-TV in Dayton, Ohio — among the top-rated CBS affiliates in the country.
As part of TPG’s aviation team, Sean has reported on airline industry mergers and bankruptcies, operational meltdowns and loyalty program shakeups.
He regularly makes national press appearances to dissect airline industry developments, offer air travel tips and explain how policy decisions in Washington affect consumers.
Sean’s guest appearances include ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, FOX, News Nation, The Washington Post, NPR and Axios.
An avid traveler himself, Sean logged more than 100,000 miles in the air in 2025.
Before launching his journalism career, Sean graduated from American University in Washington, where he studied journalism and political science.
He’s based outside Raleigh, North Carolina.
