Quick summary

JSX, a public charter air carrier that removes many of the hassles of commercial air travel, has announced the launch of a new loyalty program called Club JSX. With simple earning and redemption structures, the air carrier is offering its frequent customers new rewards whenever they fly.

Whether you've never heard of JSX or you're already flying it, here's an overview of the program — and why you may want to join.

How does JSX's new loyalty program work?

The carrier's new loyalty program, Club JSX, is straightforward. Members earn a flat 5% back in the form of "Rewards" on applicable base fares, seat fees and pet fees. Rewards function as future JSX trip credits.

This simplicity might be appealing for some travelers, letting you save money on your next flight without the hassle of searching for award deals. However, you won't find the sweet spots you would with other airline loyalty programs that use points or miles.

Club JSX provides some additional ways to earn rewards. Members can earn bonus rewards on flights taken in their birthday month, and they'll get bonus accrual offers and special incentives based on their individual travel habits. Plus, when you refer another member and they take their first flight, you can both earn a $100 referral flight credit.

Lastly, members can pool their Rewards with up to five people. This can be invaluable for groups traveling together and parents whose children earn miles.

The downside is that rewards are only valid for one year; they'll expire the last day of the 12th month after accrual, regardless of additional activity in your account. This is a relatively short lifespan. Most airlines give you at least an 18-month window to use your points or miles, and many have eliminated expiration dates for rewards entirely.

This isn't the only loyalty angle with JSX

It's worth noting that JSX also has existing partnerships with both JetBlue and United Airlines, with the following earning rates:

  • JetBlue TrueBlue: Earn 150 points per segment for "Hop on" fares and 250 points per segment for "All in" fares (details here).
  • United MileagePlus: Earn up to 100% of the mileage flown based on your JSX fare class (details here).

What is JSX?

Founded in 2016 and based in Texas, JSX mainly operates routes across the southern half of the U.S., along with flights from Florida to New York and even a pair of routes to Mexico. It effectively runs like a private jet operator rather than a commercial carrier, touting its service as "crowd-free" and "hassle-free" on its website. Passengers are allowed to check in just 20 minutes before their flight in a separate hangar with a Transportation Security Administration-approved security process, and it provides business-class amenities on jets with only 30 seats.

The carrier aims to marry the perks of private air travel with attainable fares, in some cases operating from airports that don't offer commercial service at all. For example, a nonstop flight from Austin Executive Airport (EDC) to Taos Regional Airport (TSM) in New Mexico starts at $475 round-trip this August.

However, other flights run from regular commercial airports, like Palm Beach International Airport (PBI) in West Palm Beach, Florida, to Westchester County Airport (HPN) in White Plains, New York. Round-trip fares on this route start at $1,078.

JSX hopes the simplicity of its new loyalty program will resonate with customers, who voted it the top domestic airline for 2025 in Travel + Leisure's "World's Best Awards" survey.

"With the launch of Club JSX, we're doubling down on what matters most: trust, transparency, and treating our Customers like people, not points," JSX Chief Commercial Officer David Drabinsky said in a press release.

Bottom line

Here at TPG, we're always happy to see new loyalty programs introduced. Club JSX may not offer any standout features that set it apart from the airline loyalty crowd, but it provides a straightforward way for travelers to earn rewards and save money on future flights. Plus, you can earn additional rewards by booking your flight with the right travel credit card.

If you're already a JSX flyer or you're interested in trying out the carrier, you can join Club JSX for free on JSX's website.
