Quick summary

You probably already know some of Hilton's most iconic luxury brands, like Conrad and Waldorf Astoria. But did you know that in 2024, Hilton partnered with Small Luxury Hotels of the World, a collection of some of the world's best independent hotels and resorts, to bring hundreds of properties into the Hilton Honors ecosystem?

These hotels range from small boutique hotels in far-flung places to stunning city hotels, beautiful beach resorts and even some name brands you wouldn't think you could book with points, such as a handful of Nobu hotels. Small Luxury Hotels is a separate entity from Hilton, so not all properties that are part of SLH are also part of Hilton Honors; that's up to each individual property to decide. However, hundreds have already elected to participate in Hilton's loyalty program, and more are added all the time (and at times, some leave).

The best way to see which SLH properties are currently participating in Hilton Honors is to check out Hilton's handy map tool.

SLH and Hilton Honors benefits

The main benefit of SLH partnering with Hilton Honors is that members can earn and burn points during a stay, and expect the following perks for elite members:

  • Member: Guaranteed member discount, complimentary standard Wi-Fi, complimentary late checkout, bottled water and no resort fees on award stays
  • Silver: 20% elite tier bonus, fifth standard reward night free and all entry-level member benefits
  • Gold: 80% elite tier bonus, complimentary breakfast (for two guests), space-available upgrades, fifth standard reward night free and all entry-level member benefits
  • Diamond: 100% elite tier bonus, complimentary breakfast (for two guests), space-available upgrades, fifth standard reward night free and all entry-level member benefits

Even if you don't have elite status, booking SLH properties through Hilton can help you earn valuable Hilton Honors points and elite qualifying nights, which can help you work your way to elite status in the program.

What are the best SLH properties to book through Hilton?

With hundreds of SLH properties bookable via Hilton around the world, it can be overwhelming to find the true standout properties. This is especially true considering these hotels are highly vetted before being allowed to join SLH in the first place. That said, the travel experts at TPG have stayed at or bookmarked many that are worth your consideration.

Here you'll find a nonexhaustive list of some of our favorites, whether they're front of mind because of a beautiful locale, incredible design, a great deal with points or simply a bucket list property fit for a dream trip.
