Raffles London at The OWO

Raffles London at The OWO. ERIC ROSEN/THE POINTS GUY

Entering the Raffles London at The OWO feels like stepping back in time. Housed in what was once the War Office (now referred to as the Old War Office, hence the name), the building played an important part in British history, both bureaucratic and cinematic. Inside the hotel's stately stone walls, former Prime Minister Winston Churchill directed the Allies' victory in World War II and James Bond creator Ian Fleming drew inspiration for the blockbuster film franchise.

Speaking of James Bond, the hotel has a hidden speakeasy called the Spy Bar where you can live out your "007" fantasy. Bond would have felt just as at home in the contemporary Edwardian-style guest rooms or the subterranean wellness complex composed of a fitness center, a thermal spa suite, a pool and the U.K.'s first Guerlain Spa.

Rates at Raffles London at The OWO start around $1,065 or 85,226 Chase Ultimate Rewards points per night.

Bottom line

While luxury hotels like these do come with a luxury price tag, the perks eligible Chase cardholders can take advantage of by booking through The Edit by Chase Travel both offset the cost and enhance your stay. Regardless of your elite status with a particular hotel brand, you'll enjoy elitelike benefits at some of the world's best hotels.
